On June 29, 2017, the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste, Italy) approved the ICTP Asian Network on Condensed Matter and Complex Systems.
An ICTP Network is a system of research groups in an entire region, pursuing a common scientific project over an extended period. The network programme represents an efficient approach to overcoming the problem of isolation of scientists. ICTP Networks contribute to ICTP efforts to advance scientific expertise in the developing world, providing scientists from developing countries with the continuing education and skills they need to enjoy long and productive careers.
