SYMPOSIUM

Anderson Localization in Nonlinear and Many-Body Systems

Coordinators: Arkady Pikovsky (Potsdam), Sergej Flach (Dresden)

Speakers:

B. Altshuler, S. Aubry, T. Nattermann, D. Shepelyansky, L. Sanches-Palencia, Y. Silberberg

Date: Monday March 23, 2009

Details: embedded into the March Meeting of the Condensed Matter Division of the DPG

It aims at an active and lively discussion of experimental and theoretical results in the field of disorder and interactions. In particular, we address the question, whether excitations will localize or delocalize, if all single particle eigenstates are localized, but interactions/nonlinearities are present. It is aiming at a deep understanding of the robustness of Anderson localization.

We kindly invite you to participate in that symposium. The pdf of the program can be downloaded here . You can also submit contributed talks to the March Meeting Coordination Office, indicating the topical relation to the above symposium. Please inform us by email in such a case.

Note also, that a closely related one-week workshop on Anderson Localization in Nonlinear and Many-Body Systems will be held the week before the DPG meeting, i.e. from March 16 2009 to March 20 2009, at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden. Please follow the link for more information and application procedures.

With best regards

Arkady and Sergej
