Spatially localized vibrations in nonlinear resonator arrays are called intrinsic localized modes (ILMs) or discrete breathers (DBs). We have fabricated magneto-mechanical resonator arrays to observe ILM/DB and to demonstrate a manipulation of its position. Recently, a magnetically coupled two-degree-of-freedom resonator was newly proposed and fabricated to study the effect of the additional degree of freedom of each resonator on the localized vibrations. In this presentation, experimental systems of the magneto-mechanical resonator arrays will be introduced with observation results, and recent progress on the two-degree-of-freedom resonator arrays will be shown.
