Visiting Opportunities
The Center for Theoretical Physics of Complex Systems invites applications for visiting research fellow/PhD positions in condensed matter physics, mesoscopics, and the physics of light.
The focus of the positions will be on uncovering fundamental nonlinear and many-body processes in trapped atomic condensates, superconducting networks, metamaterials, quantum dot arrays, plasmonic and nanophotonic structures, and mesoscopics, among others.
Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent computational skills and the ability to work effectively and congenially with other center members are essential for all positions. Applicants should also have a strong interest to work in a multidisciplinary and dynamic research environment.
Research fellow positions range from postdoctoral to sabbatical levels, with flexible duration (not shorter than one year). Visiting positions can range from a few days through to several months up to a year. PhD fellowships are typically for three years. Salaries will be commensurate with experience.
The consideration of applicants runs continuously.
There is no deadline.
Interested applicants should send a single pdf file containing a cover letter, a CV (including a publication list), a research plan (two to four pages), and arrange for two letters of recommendation, directed to Dr. Sergej Flach via email (pcs@ibs.re.kr).
