Studies on many-body quantum machines can be crucial for understanding the thermodynamics of many-body quantum systems. In this talk, I will discuss the existence of universal features in many-body finite-time quantum machines, which are governed by the Kibble-Zurek mechanism. I will also discuss the possibility of enhancing the performance of such machines through shortcuts to adiabaticity and bath engineering.
