1. dynamic thermalisation and chaos in many-spin systems

Intensive efforts in recent decades to understand the dynamic thermalisation and chaos in quantum spin lattices have highlighted the fact that much is yet to be learned about their classical spin counterparts. In this talk, I present our systematic investigations of the primary indicators of chaos, namely,  the largest Lyapunov exponents and the Lyapunov spectra for lattices of interacting classical spins at high temperatures and near second-order phase transitions.  I further discuss our very recent studies of dynamic thermalisation in the vicinity of a second-order phase transition for a closely related lattice system described by the discrete Gross-Pitaevskii equation.
